Your information
Privacy Notice.
This notice explains what information TedenTech Engraving collects, why it is needed and how it is looked after when you contact us, request a quote or place an order.
Last updated: 16 September 2026Who we are
TedenTech Engraving is a home-based laser engraving business in Downham Market, Norfolk. For privacy questions, email info@tedentech.co.uk or call 07777 499559.
Information we collect
When you contact us, request a quote or place an order directly or through a service such as Etsy, we may collect:
- your name and contact details;
- the item, material, quantity and engraving requirements;
- optional information such as approximate size, deadline and handover preference;
- messages, artwork or photographs you choose to send;
- your artwork-rights confirmation and any optional portfolio permission you give;
- order, invoice, payment, delivery, tracking and correspondence records; and
- basic technical information processed by our website and service providers, such as IP address, browser information and security or request logs.
How and why we use it
We use this information to answer enquiries, check whether a job is suitable, prepare quotes, process and complete orders, arrange collection or postage, take or record payments, maintain customer service records, protect the website and meet accounting or legal requirements.
We rely on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and performing our contract with you for quotes and orders. We rely on legal obligations for tax and accounting records, consent for optional portfolio use, and our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the business and displaying genuine customer feedback. Sending a quote request does not add you to a marketing list.
Artwork and portfolio photographs
Artwork or photographs supplied for an engraving order are used to assess and complete that order. Customers are asked to confirm that they own the material or have permission to use it for the requested work.
We will only use photographs of a finished customer item on the TedenTech Engraving website or social media where optional portfolio permission has been given. Refusing this permission will not affect a quote or order. Where an item identifies another living person, the customer should only give permission if that person has also agreed.
You can withdraw portfolio permission at any time by emailing info@tedentech.co.uk. We will stop future use and remove the photograph from channels we control where reasonably possible. Material already shared, copied by others or included in printed material may not be fully retrievable.
Reviews displayed on our website
We may reproduce genuine reviews that customers have made publicly available on Google, including the reviewer name, star rating and review text. We use these under our legitimate interests in showing genuine customer feedback. You can ask us to remove the copy displayed on channels we control. The original review remains subject to Google’s own controls and privacy terms.
Who receives the information
We only share information where it is needed to run the service. This may include Formspree, which processes website quote submissions; Etsy, where you choose to order through its marketplace; website hosting and email providers; banks or payment service providers; postal and delivery companies; and professional or legal advisers where required.
When you use Etsy, Etsy also processes your information under its own privacy notice. We receive the customer, order and delivery information Etsy makes available to us so that we can fulfil your order.
Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where applicable, transfers rely on UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards for international transfers. You can contact us for more information about the safeguards relevant to your information.
How long we keep it
General or unsuccessful quote enquiries are normally retained for up to 24 months so we can follow up and refer back to previous discussions. Order, invoice and accounting records may be retained for up to six years where needed for tax, legal or business record-keeping. Portfolio permission records are kept while the related photographs are in use. Technical logs are retained only for operational and security purposes in line with the relevant provider’s settings. Information is deleted earlier when it is no longer reasonably required or where permission is withdrawn and no other lawful reason requires us to retain it.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for a copy of your information, have inaccurate information corrected, ask for information to be deleted or restricted, or request transfer of information you supplied.
Your right to object: you may object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including our use of a publicly posted review on channels we control. We will consider your request and stop the processing unless we have a compelling lawful reason to continue.
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time by emailing info@tedentech.co.uk. Withdrawing consent does not affect use that was lawful before it was withdrawn.
Contact us first and we will help. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Keeping information safe
We take reasonable steps to limit access to customer information and use it only for the purposes described above. Please send only the personal information and artwork needed for your enquiry.
